Digital Experiences Group
The Digital Experiences Group is a successful, medium-sized agency group that unites nearly 200 employees across its two companies (Ergosign and SMAL). Our clients value us for human-centered solutions, innovative marketing strategies, and creative communication — and they trust in the uncompromising protection of their data and the high quality of our processes. To consistently live up to these standards, we are looking for you: In a central staff role, you will steer our management systems holistically and bring the official mandates for information security and data privacy to life.

Your Mission: Security, Quality, and Compliance — All Under One Roof.
In this role, you’ll report directly to our senior management and ensure that we’re optimally positioned from a regulatory, procedural, and physical standpoint. Your responsibilities include:

Information Security & Data Protection (approx. 60%):

  • Official Mandate: Assume the roles of internal Information Security Officer (ISO) and officially registered Data Protection Officer (DPO).

  • Responsibility for the operation and continuous improvement of our ISMS (e.g., in accordance with ISO 27001 / TISAX®).

  • Ensuring GDPR compliance, maintaining the records of processing activities (RPA), and reviewing data processing agreements (DPA).

  • Preparing for and supporting audits, processing customer security questionnaires, and serving as the central point of contact for supervisory authorities.

  • Raising awareness and providing training for the entire team on information security and data protection topics.

Quality Management (approx. 25%):

  • Overseeing and further developing our quality management system (e.g., in accordance with ISO 9001).

  • Ensuring accurate process documentation and driving the continuous improvement process (CIP).

Occupational Safety & Fire Protection (approx. 15%):

  • Internal coordination of occupational safety in our modern office environment in direct collaboration with our external occupational safety specialist (Sifa) and the company physician.

  • Organizing and monitoring the statutory quotas for first aid responders and fire safety assistants, as well as coordinating the corresponding training sessions.

Your skills

Subject Matter Expert, Process Specialist, and Communicator

  • Background: A college degree (Business Informatics, Business Administration, Business Law, or similar) or a comparable qualification with a strong affinity for IT.

  • Expertise: You possess the legally required expertise as a Data Protection Officer (DPO) and, ideally, hold relevant certifications (e.g., TÜV/DEKRA/Bitkom, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer).

  • Experience: Several years of professional experience in the field of information security and data protection, ideally at an IT company or in an agency setting.

  • Hands-on approach to workplace safety: You do not need formal training as a workplace safety officer, but you are willing to manage the administrative duties related to office workplace safety in a reliable and pragmatic manner.

  • Work Style: You keep a cool head even during audits, advise management as an equal partner, and communicate compliance requirements to the team clearly and without excessive bureaucracy.

  • Languages: Business-fluent German and very good English skills.
