(Senior) Backend Developer Java Spring Boot or Node.js (m/f/d)
Our backend developers are the backbone of our digital solutions. You will work closely with frontend colleagues, UX designers, and project managers to design high-performance, secure, and scalable systems — from data modeling to deployment in the cloud.
Typical tasks are:
Development and optimization of complex backend systems with Java Spring Boot or Node.js (e.g., NestJS).
Design and implementation of modern microservices architectures and serverless structures.
Design and implementation of efficient REST and GraphQL interfaces for a wide variety of clients.
Responsibility for database schemas, data integrity, and performance optimization (SQL and NoSQL).
Integration of third-party systems and implementation of identity and access solutions (OAuth2, OpenID Connect).
Technical consulting for our customers on technological strategy and system architecture.
Ensuring high quality standards through code reviews, automated testing, and pair programming.

Your skills
A degree in computer science or a comparable qualification is desirable.
Several years of professional experience (more extensive for senior-level positions) in backend development with Java (Spring Boot) or Node.js (TypeScript).
Confident use of build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle, NPM) and version control (Git).
In-depth experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and container technologies such as Docker and/or Kubernetes.
Deep understanding of software design principles (e.g., clean architecture, DDD, SOLID).
Experience connecting databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CDK) is an advantage.
High awareness of security, testing (unit, integration tests), and documentation.
